Added a new gallery in EVENTS for the 2013 Tuba Christmas at Baltimore's Inner Harbor, which we saw on Saturday, December 7th.
Added galleries for Toronto and Quebec in the TRAVEL section from our recent road trip in Canada.
We recently enjoyed a ten-day road trip in the Ontario and Quebec provinces in Canada. We crossed over into Canada from New York at Niagara Falls. I just added new gallery for Niagara Falls in the Travel section.
I'm one of those people who believe that sometimes less is more. That becomes evident in one of my favorite art forms—Minimalism. Simple, elegant compositions and subjects can be very bold and dramatic. It also breaks art down to its bare essentials of color, line, shape and pattern. Admittedly, the scarcity of content and lack of obvious direction is not for everyone's taste. I started a new gallery of some of my minimalist photographs in the Artistic section.
I also added 4 new images in the Abstract Gallery.
We recently spent a weekend visiting friends who live in Northport, Long Island. We also spent a day in Montauk on the eastern coast of Long Island. I added a new gallery in TRAVEL with photos from that weekend.
Just added 24 images in a new Cape May, NJ gallery under TRAVEL from my first visit there a couple of weekends ago.
Added new galleries in TRAVEL for Lewes, DE and the Lewes-Cape May Ferry. A new gallery for my first visit to Cape May, NJ will be uploaded soon.
In 1912, Japan sent a gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees to the city of Washington, D.C. Every spring, usually the first or second week of April, the cherry blossoms come out, creating a spectacular display at the tidal basin and other places in and around the D.C mall area, drawing thousands of admirers. The peak period of bloom is short and anticipated, especially by photography enthusiasts. I have visited several times during this peak period and have created a new gallery in NATURE with 17 of my favorite images from those visits. Hope you enjoy!
I entered four framed prints in this year's show on April 4-7, 2013. It's a fun event that features artwork from over 150 talented local area artists. The show features different categories including painting, sculpture, mixed media, miniatures and photography. I had a good show: one of my prints won 3rd place in the photography division and I sold another print.
