Q. What equipment do you use?
I use professional Nikon digital equipment. I always bring backup gear and plenty of supplies (batteries, flashes, media cards, etc).
Q. Will you shoot our wedding or are you sending someone else?
I will be shooting your wedding myself, along with my wife, Alice.
Q. Will there be any formal, posed photographs?
It’s usually expected, but it’s up to you. Most people consider them important for historical purposes. I have a standard checklist of the usual formals requested, but you may provide your own or tailor my list to fit your group. Again, it’s about your wishes and decisions. Formals generally take between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on the number of people and groups.
Q. May I invite any other photographers?
Uncle Fred and his shiny new camera along with your other family and friends are welcome to take pictures of course, but I expect you to talk to them so they understand that they can't interfere with my work. Your day is too unique and important to have any factors that could prevent me from providing the best possible images for you. I need first and best access to you and your guests for every moment of your event.
Q. How will I receive the wedding photos?
All of my packages and engagement sessions include high-resolution images provided on CD and suitable for printing (any size). They will also be displayed online for at least six months. We share copyright ownership so you can print them or use them whichever way you choose. I may use them for marketing purposes.
Q. Do we have to use you for our prints?
No, ordering prints is up to you. You can make whatever prints you want from the CD provided or they can be ordered from your online gallery.
Q. Do you charge extra for travel?
It’s generally included in whatever package you choose for up to 100 miles one-way from my location in Berwyn Heights, MD. Anything outside of that range may cost extra.
Q. How do we confirm you for our wedding?
A signed contract and a $200 non-refundable deposit are required to confirm my services for your date. Dates are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
